Financial Services is excited to share the launch of Card Services, which will oversee both the Purchasing Card and Travel Card programs at the University of Utah.
Card Services will serve as the one-stop-shop for campus partners who have a university-issued credit card. Users will be able to request new Purchasing Cards and Travel Cards, ask questions about proper use and access training materials for both cards – all on one website.
Aligning these programs under the direction of one manager allows for more consistency in the distribution and management of the cards, as well as streamlining the process when campus users have questions.
“The Card Service team will be able to redirect users to a more appropriate resource, like the experts on the Procurement or Travel team, if we’re unable to resolve your question ourselves,” said Card Services manager Jadee Hill. “We may not always know the answer, but we promise to get you in touch with someone who does.”
Combining resources to support card users on campus meant creating an updated website where individuals can access all card-related information, including the new Travel Card User Guide.
It’s important to note that this merger will not cause any functional change for PCard and Travel Card users on campus, as there haven’t been any changes to procedure. The primary difference for campus will be who to contact with questions and where to go to find resources.
Hill believes that this move will help her team to provide more comprehensive support to campus partners.
“We’re committed to bringing a better customer services experience to campus and reducing some confusion around who to contact for help with a PCard or Travel Card issue,” she said. “Now you won’t need to worry about whether you went to the right ream with your question. You only need to ask, ‘Is my question about a credit card issued by the University of Utah?’ If it is, your next step is getting in touch with our team.”
If you have questions, concerns or need additional support with your university-issued credit card, connect with the Card Services team.
