Beginning October 1, a new system for unused travel credits will go into effect. This change will allow any traveler on campus to utilize credits to cover their airfare – if available – when they book through Concur or through Christopherson Business Travel (CBT).
There are currently 1,546 open credits across campus according to the Travel Department. To ensure these do not go to waste, unused personal travel credits will be converted for use within the general campus population. Members of the Travel team will be reaching out to university employees 90 days before a Travel credit expires. Individuals will then have 15 days to purchase airfare with that credit.
Things to Know
- An airline credit generally expires within one (1) year from date of original purchase.
- Travelers can see how many credits they have available in their Concur profile.
- If a travel credit has been extended for non-employee travel, it will appear in the travel arranger’s Concur profile.
- Credits will apply to the named traveler. Individuals may contact the Travel team to transfer the credits to another employee, including individuals within the same department.
In order to use these credits to book flights, employees must book their airfare through Christopherson Business Travel. More information about CBT can be found here.
