Sales Info

University Surplus & Salvage marks down prices based on the public sale date and the price of property for sale in the warehouse. In general, the public sale date and the price are on the price tag.

The public sale date is the date that the general public may purchase the property. Prior to this date, Surplus offers the property to federal, state and public education agencies.

Markdowns and the markdown schedule can be found on the Surplus home page. Vehicles, items marked for bid, items listed for bid online, items listed for auction online, property priced more that $2,000 and property without dates are excluded from markdowns and the public sale date. Some property may have other restrictions, may not become available to the public, may be placed for sale or auction online or through another bid procedure.

We reserve the right to waive, extend, change or restart the government surplus cycle on property placed for sale by University Surplus & Salvage. If the government cycle is waived, the public sale date is generally the day Surplus receives the property. Chairs, tables and other property valued less than $40 are the most frequent items to have the government surplus cycle waived.

If property is dated for a shorter or longer government surplus cycle, the official public sale date of the property is listed on the price sticker. The public sale date on property may change without notice.

University Surplus & Salvage reserves the right to verify the price and the availability of the property for sale.
